Abstract
PURPOSE:To scrape off chips adhering to the inner wall of a bored portion and discharge them from its inside by a method wherein a drill is inserted, while it is being rotated, into the bored portion after a hole has been made, while high pressure air is jetted from a hole within the drilling tool into the bored portion. CONSTITUTION:Oil tubes 10, 11, 12 are formed within a balancer shaft 9. In other words, after the oil holes 10, 11, 12 are made with a gun drill in the preceding process, a used gun drill is inserted into the hole 11 along the aixs in the longitudinal direction of the balancer shaft 9 while it is being rotated. By utilizing the opening of the passage for supplying cutting oil made within the gun drill 13 as a high pressure air discharge opening 13', the high pressure air is jetted from that opening to remove chips in the oil holes 10, 11, 12 and to clean them.
