Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the swing of a discharge lamp by providing a cylindrical swing preventing member having plural adjusting screws radially screwed therein to a tubular discharge lamp of the light irradiation apparatus to fix said swing preventing member by operating said screws. CONSTITUTION:In a photochemical reaction apparatus, when the tubular discharge lamp 2 of which one end is supported is fixed in a vertically hanging mode, the cylindrical swing preventing member 3 is provided to an other end or a middle part of said tubular discharge lamp 2. Then, plural adjusting screws 5 are screwed into said swing preventing member 3 and a leading ends thereof are contacted to an inner side surface of a cylindrical holding part 4. In said apparatus, the discharge lamp 2 is mounted at first and, thereafter, said swing preventing member 3 is shapped in said discharge lamp 2 and said adjusting screws 5 are operated. Therefore, even if said discharge lamp 2 is bent a little and attachment thereof is put out of order, said lamp can be fixed stably.
