Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the compliance of the vibration system and at the same time to avoid a resonance of the diaphragm, by adhering the diaphragm to the edge provided inside the plate of a magnetic circuit via a viscoelastic adhesive. CONSTITUTION:A ribbon-type diaphragm 8 that serves as the main body of a vibration system is mounted between the plates 4A and 4B of the magnetic circuit 1. In this case, the areas of the plate 8 opposing to the plates 4A and 4B are fixed to the flat-plate or corrugated edge 6 via a viscoelastic adhesive 9. The both lengthwise ends of the diaphragm 8 are fixed to the frame 7. For edge 6, there is used a material having a large internal loss and made of the rubber, plastics, cloth and others. As a result, the compliance can be increased for the vibration system mainly composed of the diaphragm 8 and including the edge 6. Thus the low-range reproduction frequency is lowered, and the diaphragm 8 is prevented from resonance as well to ensure a high-quality reproduction.
