Abstract
PURPOSE:To adequately adjust blast heating corresponding to the change in input/ output of heat in the furnace, in a low burden-level operation, by deviding the amount of coke properly, corresponding to the lowered level; most parts being charged at low burden level time, the remaining part at leveling up time. CONSTITUTION:A low burden-level operation is performed while comparing and monitoring the operational data with the past data and enable to change the level in the range to the bosh. The exessive coke amount is set to the amount of coke required to compensate for the calory contained in the burden which is reduced by lowered level and increased space and for the increased calory dissipation by the furnace body, not considering the compensation for the calory due to disturbance such as slip, blowing-through, or deposit dropping. The required coke amount is about 30-60% of the amount that considers external disturbance. At low burden- level, about 70-90% of the total is charged, the remaining 30-10% is charged a leveling up time. At the low burden-level time, the range from the shaft to the bosh is devided into two sections, for example; about 60-80% of the low-level burden amount is charged into the first section and the remaining, about 40-20% is charged into the next section.
