Abstract
PURPOSE:To control the stop and start of the injection of ink separately and independently by a method wherein thermoelectric elements for cooling and heating are mounted every nozzle, and the thermofusing ink is solidified and melted, in a multinozzle type ink jet head. CONSTITUTION:An ink heating means 4, which can melt ink 3, an exciting element 8 and a plurality of injection ports 2 are installed to a vessel 1 for injecting the ink with a pipe 11 supplying the thermofusing ink 3, N type thermoelectric elements 5 and P type thermoelectric elements 6 are connected to each injection port 2, and two lead wires 12 are connected. When the thermofusing ink 3 is metled and excited according to said constitution, ink small-drops 7 can periodically be injected at a stroke from each injection port 2. When the thermoelectric elements 5, 6 are conducted and cooled by the Peltier effect at that time, the ink 3 is solidified in the nozzles, and the injection of the ink of the nozzles is stopped. The conduction direction is reversed, heat is generated and injection can also be reopened.
