Abstract

PURPOSE: To press a screen always onto the upper surface of a flow of earth and sand and prevent muddy water from spreading, by linking both ends of the screen to respectively different winding machines and supporting a weight intermediately to said screen in such a manner as to be in an unlocked state further in a movable state of freely rolling on the screen.
CONSTITUTION: At the lower portion of a barge main body 1, screens 4 made by considerably high rigid rubber or the like are provided by connecting their both ends to winding machines 5 in two rows, then to upper central surfaces of the screen 4 a plurality of roller-shaped weights 6 are supported in an unlocked state. If a bottom door 10 of a direct chute barge 9 is opened, earth and sand 11 drop down, collide against the bottom level of water and then move dividing to the left and the right. When the screen 4 is wound up by the winding machine 5 to discharge muddy water through a gap 15, a freely rolling motion of the weight 6 can allow the screen 4 to hold its state of being contacted to the upper surface of a stream of earth and sand.
