Abstract
PURPOSE:To permit smooth taking-up of a seat belt by preventing a pendulum from being swung even if a large impact is applied in closing of a door, in the passive seat belt system which is constituted so that a pendulum type retractor is built in the door. CONSTITUTION:When a door 1 is opened in getting in a car, the ratchet 43 in the door locking part turns clockwise, and the detection plate 42 pushed onto the pin 44 of the ratchet 43 is turned counterclockwise by a spring 45, and a wire 5 is stretched. Then, one end of the lever arm 35 of the retractor 2 built in the door 1 is pulled-up by the wire 5, and an actuator 34 is pulled downward. Then, a pair of pendulum-swing restricting plates 31 which are pivotally installed in free swing on both sides of the actuator 34 are swung inwardly, and a pendulum 26 is supported from both sides. In this state, the pendulum 26 is not swung, and the seat belt S can be taken-up smoothly.
