Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce the abrasion on the friction brake contact surface of a motor car by a method wherein the electric braking force of the motor car is utilized to the maximum extent while the electric braking is functioning and the boad factor of fluid braking of the motor car and trailer cars is maintained at equalization when the electric braking force loses effect.
CONSTITUTION: An electric brake command setting unit 5' outputs to an electric braking unit 6' by limiting the amount of train braking command outputted from the brake instruction counter 1 with the maximum adhesive braking force or more of the motor car. 8a' and 8b' output the fluid braking force of the equal coeficient adhesion to the motor car and the trailer car in accordance with the value obtained by subtracting the equivalent electric braking voltage from the amount of train braking command. The equivalent electric braking voltage is added to the fluid braking force for the motor car by an adder-substracter 15', the maximum adhesive braking force is substracted, the output of the adder-substracter 15' is added to or subtracted from the trailer car fluid braking force and is given to the fluid brake of the motor car and the trailer car.
