Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain an adhesive composition having excellent vulcanizing adhesiveness from a resorcinol-formaldehyde latex composition to which is added a specific polyisoprene latex.
CONSTITUTION: One hundred pts.wt. (solid content base) resorcinol-formaldehyde aqueous solution is mixed with approx. 100W1,100pts.wt. (solid content base) polyisoprene latex containing 30% or less 1,2 bond plus 3,4 bond to obtain an adhesive composition containing preferably 10W50wt% solids. Then, fibers are dipped in the said adhesive composition, baked at approx. 50W200°C for 1W30min, put in between ethylene-propylene rubber compounds, and then subjected to a vulcanization and molding process to obtain a desired rubber product.
