Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of fire caused by spark of discharge and permit unattended electric discharge machining by using noncombustible specific aqueous solution for electric discharge machining liquid. CONSTITUTION:Aqueous solution of ether (one kind or several kinds of diethylene glycol monobutyl ether, tripropylene glycolmethylether, methoxytriethylene glycol and ethoxytriethylene glycol) having flash point higher than 100 deg.C is utilized for electric discharge machining liquid to eliminate the possibility of fire caused by spark of discharge and permit unattended electric discharge machining without reducing the machining speed.
