Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce a strength of electric field as well as to improve a reliability of insulation by a method wherein a ground shield having a semicircular section is arranged just below a machanism for operating a change-over breaker where much volume of metal powders are produced. CONSTITUTION:The ground sheild 10 has a semicircular section and is arranged concentrically with a supporting insulative cylinder 8. The shield is installed just below the operating mechanism 6 in such a way as it surrounds the circumference of the cylinder. Since the opening 10a of the ground shield 10 arranged just below the operating mechanism 6 is arranged to face against the operating mechanism 6, almost of all the metal powders generated by the operating mechanism are dropped down, accumulated at a semicircular bottom part of the ground shield 10 but not onto the charging part.
