Abstract

An electrical connecting device for connecting conductors on a first component to conductors on a second component, having an electrically non-conductive housing in which at least one slot, one opening and one recess are constructed. Arranged in the recess is an elastomeric core which has a multiplicity of exposed conductors which are wound around it and are exposed both towards the slot and towards the opening. A cable holding device having an inner part and an outer part is used for holding a flexible cable having a multiplicity of conductors, of which one section is exposed for an electrical connection. The flexible flat cable and the inner part each have mechanical connecting parts, which fit together, for mechanical connection of the flat cable around the inner part and to the outer part, the unit which is formed from the cable holding device and the flat cable being capable of insertion into the slot so that the elastomeric core produces a connection, via the exposed conductors wound around it, said conductors being arranged above the opening and being supported, for example, by a printed-circuit board which covers the opening.
