Abstract

PURPOSE:To supply preheated synthetic resin chips to a vacuum heating vessel uniformly and with excellent stability without damaging the quanlity of the chips by equalizing the pressure of the heating vacuum vessel to that of a hopper and further by arranging a specific feeder between the two components. CONSTITUTION:The resin chips supplied intermittently from a supply pipe 10 to the hopper 1 kept in the state of vacuum are fed to the heating vacuum vessel 2 by a screw feeder 3. In this device, a pressure-leveling pipe 9 is arranged between the hopper 1 and the vessel 2 to equalize the pressure of the two components and further the feeder 3 is constituted so that a gap between the semicircular inside wall in the lower part of a trough 4 having a heating jacket 7 and the blades 5 of a screw is smaller in size than the thickness of the resin chips supplied, thus the captioned device being formed.
