Abstract
PURPOSE: To simplify an enzyme reaction unit of an analytical instrument and to handle it with ease, by attaching a porous material to the inner wall of a tube, followed by immobilizing an enzyme on the porous material.
CONSTITUTION: A porous material, e.g., glass, silica gel, etc. is attached to an inner wall of a tube consisting of a synthetic resin, metal, glass, etc. by an adhesive, etc. or fixed to it by melting. Various kinds of enzymes are immobilized on the porous material by covalent bond method. The immobilized enzyme tube is set in a position where the immobilized enzyme column of a conventional automatic analytical instrument is placed and it is used as an immobilized enzyme reaction tube in an analytical instrument.
