Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a corrosion inhibitor which needs no removal of the mill scale and rust, by compounding a polysaccharide film forming agent which is a water- soluble electrolyte soluble but becomes water insoluble after formation of film to the fine pulverous Zn, Al and Mg or the mixture thereof.
CONSTITUTION: One or more than two of the fine pulverous Zn, Al and Mg is (are) selected according to the state of the object to be prevented from rust and the state of the rust. For example, Zn is suited for the ship, the steel sheet pile, the heat exchanger and the like; Al is suited for the ship, the buoy, the floating pier and the like; and Mg is for the gate, the tanker, the underground pipe and the like, respectively. The film forming agent of polysaccharide which is a water-soluble electrolyte but becomes water insoluble after the formation of film, such as the glucomannan, is compounded to the above-mentioned metals to obtain the corrosion inhibitor.
