Abstract
PURPOSE:To easily and accurately perform an optical purity analysis, by a method wherein an optically active alcohol compound is made to react with a substance having a specified composition to separate isomers. CONSTITUTION:A cyanohydrin ester shown by general formula (I) [wherein R1 is 2C or higher alkyl, cycloalkyl, aralkyl, aryl, a group of formula (II) or (III) [wherein R3 is H or methyl; when R3 is H, R4 is H, methyl, etc.; when R3 is methyl, R4 is H, methyl, or -CH2OR9 (wherein R9 is alkyl, alkenyl, or alkynyl), R5 and R6 are the same or different, and each H, halogen, etc.; (m) and (n) are the same or different integer of 1-5; (m+n)<=5, R7 is lower alkyl, cyclopropyl] and R2 is alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl, etc.] is made to react with an optically active alcohol shwon by formula ROH (wherein R is an alcoholic residue) to convert into diastereomers of an alkoxycarbonyl derivative, and then the isomers are separated by means of a gas chromatography, a high-speed liquid chromatography, etc. to effect a mixing ratio analysis of the isomers.
