Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform a semiquantitative measurement as well as to eliminate a measuring error due to an individual difference by a method wherein a pusher having an acute angular section shape in the proceeding direction at the point and having a center line inclined to the proceeding direction is used. CONSTITUTION:A sample 1 is fixed on a sample base 2 and the point of a pusher 8 fitted to a trestle 10 is made to contact with the surface of the sample 1. A weight 9 is loaded on the trestle 10 and after an optional load is imposed upon the pusher 8, a knob 3 is rotated to move the sample base 2 horizontally, and the surface of the sample 1 is scratched with the point of the pusher 8. The scratched trace on the surface of the sample 1 is observed with the naked eye or a stereomicroscope to check whether or not a friction exists and the adhesion is discriminated. The pusher 8 having a point part machined into a rod type, having an acute angular section shape at the point in the proceeding direction and having a center line inclined to the proceeding direction is used.
