Abstract
PURPOSE:To easily and surely make a diagnosis of quality of hair such as degree of easiness of having permanent wave, by automatizing the operation of applying pressure to the hair to be inspected and contacting with reagent and then measuring the time until to be cut. CONSTITUTION:The hair to be inspected 1 hung with the weight 2 on the one end, is suspended from the operation board 11 in the vessel 17 stored the alkaline reagent of thioglycol oxygen 18 and the limit switch 10 is switched on. Hereby, the elevator 16 is driven and the hair 1 is dropped down and then, is put in the reagent 8. When driving of the apparatus 16 is stopped by the signal of the photosensor 21 and the digital timer 24 starts. The hair 1 to be tested is softened by the reagent 18 and when the hair 1 is cut by the weight of the weight 2, the board 11 jumps up by the spring. At that time, the switch 10 turns to OFF and the timer 24 is stopped and the time from contacting the air 1 with the reagent 18 to cutting is displayed. Hereby, quality of the hair can be diagnosed.
