Abstract

PURPOSE:To manufacture polyethyleneterephthalate bottles efficiently, by rapidly cooling, by means of a special cooler, each fixed length of a parison being discharged from an extruder, and operating two-axes extension, and thereby reducing the number of manufacturing processes. CONSTITUTION:Cylindrical parison P being extruded from extruder 1 at a fixed speed is cooled down to the temperature at which parison P exhibits the effect of extension by means of cooler 2, which moves together with parison P at the same speed as the extruding speed. Next, cooled part P' is separated and sent to the blow-extension process, and at the same time, cooler 2 moves to the next part of parison P being extruded. This operation is repeated.
