Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the spot burning of CRT by detecting a synchronizing signal being cutoff and then by stopping or suppressing an electron beam by this detection signal.
CONSTITUTION: A horizontal synchronizing signal and vertical synchronizing signal are inputted to terminals 1 and 7 respectively. Once applied with an input signal, multivibrators 2 and 8 generate outputs of constant pulse width synchronizing with the input. This pulse width is set longer than signal synchronism determined by the time constant of resistance 3 and capacitor 4 or resistance 9 and capacitor 10. Those output signals are AND-ed by AND circuit 13 to exercise switching control over NAND circuit 14. A video signal from terminal 15 is inverted and amplified by circuit 14 and then led out to lead line 20. Once the vertical synchronizing signal is cut off, vibrator 8 and circuit 13 generate outputs of "0" to close circuit 14, and a collector-applied voltage appearing at line 20 as it is applied to a CRT display circuit to stop the beam. Even when neither horizontal nor vertical synchronizing signal is inputted, circuit 13 generates an output of "0" to bring similar operation to effect.
