Abstract
PURPOSE: To realize the tape recorder which is capable of the record/reproduction switching action in a short time by securing the shift of the head substrate via the rotary force of the capstan driving motor and then switching the record/reproduction change-over switch.
CONSTITUTION: The rotation of driving gear 44 unified with capstan 36 is utilized for the forward and backward shift of heas substrate 26. The capstan driving motor must be made usually to pass through the fixed-speed rotation control circuit but such control is not necessary at all in case substrate 26 is shifted because the switching action is delayed with that control. Accordingly, main operation lever 52 is pushed via the reproduction button to close switch S, and thus capstan driving motor M can be driven with no intervention of the control circuit. As a result, the number of motor rotation is increased with decrease of the load, thus performing the shift of the head substrate in a short time. Finally, the record/reproduction switching can be given quickly.
