Abstract
PURPOSE: To enhance the initial luminous flux, luminous flux deterioration properties, etc. of a fluorescent lamp by using aluminosilicate type glass, high m.p. non- alkali glass as a glass base material for the bulb, stem, etc. of the lamp to raise the temp. for heat treatment in a lamp manufacturing process.
CONSTITUTION: As a glass base material for the bulb, stem, etc. of a fluorescent lamp, aluminosilicate type glass, non-alkali glass based on the following components is used: SiO2 45W65%, Al2O3 15W30%, CaO 5W25%, MgO 1W10% and BaO 1W5%. This aluminosilicate glass has a softening point of about 900W970°C and exhibits high electrically insulating properties (resistibility) for use in electrode sealing. By this method vacuum deposition of a nesa film of a low nesa resistance value is enabled, and the temp. of a calcination furnace is raised to 800°C to remove a binder and impurities, thereby diminishing inferior exfoliation of a phosphor film.
