Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce weight of a movable beam of a split type conveyor system, by making the conveyor composed of a stationary beam having loading beds at equal intervals and a movable beam having loading beds every three pitches.
CONSTITUTION: A conveyor system attached to a cooling bed or heating device receives a group of steel members A from a roller table 1 by means of a transfer 4 and delivers them to a roller table 7 through a transfer 6 after carrying. The conveyor is composed of a stationary beam 8, having loading beds p at equal pitches, and a movable beam 9, having loading beds q at every three pitches of the stationary one's loading bed. The movable beam 9 is driven by a driving system 11 to make a walking movement for conveying the steel members A placed on the stationary beam 8 pitch by pitch. Since the steel members A are conveyed with the split system, the driving system may be designed compact in size and light in weight for performing the duty.
