Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the space that the developing device occupies by letting part of a conductive reflecting member make contact with or approach verly closely to the outside wall of a flash discharge tube to form a trigger electrode and letting the light reflecting member be a high voltage pulse applying conductor.
CONSTITUTION: A flash discharge tube 2 and a metal reflecting mirror 1 are installed with the inner edge 1a of the metal reflecting mirror 1 of involute curve being held contacted to the outside surface of a flash discharge tube 2. A trigger electric wire 3 is bonded to the metal reflecting mirror 1 which is secured to the housing of the recording apparatus by way of insulators 41, 42 secured with insulator legs. These eliminate the need for the insulation between the metal reflecting mirror 1 and flash discharge tube 2 and make the relative position setting between the both free, hence the combination of the metal reflecting mirror 1 and flash discharge tube 2 becomes compact and the space that these possess may be made smaller.
