Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a flow meter which has less measuring error by providing buoyancy thereat by forming part of an impeller with a cavity to thereby reduce the rotary frictional resistance at the bearing of the impeller.
CONSTITUTION: Cavities 11a', 11b', 14, 15 are formed at the blades or any positions of the impeller 10 of a flow meter, and closed by a closing cover 13'. Since the buoyancy of the impeller with respect to its weight becomes relatively large by providing the cavities 11a', 11b', 14, 15 thereat, it reduces the frictional resistance of the bearing 16 to thus reduce the measuring error of flow rate even at small amount of flow rate.
