CONSTITUTION: An insecticide comprising (A) an exotoxin-like physiologically active substance produced by strains of the genus Bacillus sphaericus SC-1713 (FERM-P No.3890) in a culture medium and (B) yeast or its preparations, e.g. yeast extracts or Ebios tablets, as active constituents. The strains show pathogenicity on larvae of mosquitoes. The substance scarcely exhibits the insecticidal activity in the absence of the yeast.
