Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce work processes as well as to prevnet scale generation by a method wherein, on an all upper surface of a high alloyed steel segment of which an all surface without an upper surface is coated by an antioxidant, a thin steel plate having a specific excessive length at both sides of the said steel segment of right angle direction against to an advancing direction within a furnace is covered and introduced into a heating furnace. CONSTITUTION:An antioxidant is coated on an all surface of a high alloyed steel segment 2 such as 18-8 stainless steel, 9% Ni steel, Cr-Mo steel or the like except an upper surface 3 and, after a thin steel plate 1 with thickness of 0.2-1mm (preferably 0.3-0.4mm) having a dimension hereinafter described is placed on the said all upper surface 3 of a steel segment 2, is introduced into a heating furnace so as to render a heating direction to an arrow F. The length of an advancing direction of an upper surface 3 of a steel segment (between front end surface 4 and rear end surface 4') equals to a total length of the said thin steel plate 1 and the said thin steel plate 1 has an excessive length portion 6, 6' shorten than a thickness of a steel segment from each left and right side surface of a right angle directon to an advancing direction. This excessive length portion 6, 6' are soften by a high temperature immediately after introduced into a furnace and adhered, suspended to a steel segment along both side surfaces 5, 5' such as a bent portion 7 disignated at an imaginated line.
