Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect the position of a truck without any error by providing a position display code to each section on the traveling path of the moving truck and by reading a corresponding code on the turck. CONSTITUTION:Within each section extending along the traveling path of moving truck 10, a center assignment iron piece and address assignment iron piece are arranged as shown in the figure. On truck 10, adjacent switches SW1-SW3 for iron-piece detection are provided and move along lines A, B and C as the truck moves. The output of switch SW3 displays the presence of an address code, and the output of switch SW1 obtained by making the output of switch SW2 interposing into a strobe signal is utilized as the position address code in this section. Further, when only switches SW1 and SW3 detect the presence of the iron piece, truck 10 is considered to have reached the center of the section.
