Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the transfer paper which prevents flying off of toner images at the transfer and has good pressure fixability by using the paper obtainable through mixing of cellulosic fibers and synthetic pulp or synthetic fibers.
CONSTITUTION: The amounts of compounding of cellulosic fibers and synthetic pulp or synthetic fibers are 70W30wt% for the former and 30W70wt% for the latter. If the synthetic pulp or synthetic fiber amount is 30wt% or less, the improvement in transfer characteristic and pressure fixability is not enough. At the rate of compounding of 70wt% or more, the degradation in characteristics as paper such as degradation in writing quality occurs and further travel defect in the copying machine occurs and therefore it is undesirable. Addition of inner additive and fillers and the addition of pigments and coatings with a size press or the like are equally well. This yields the transfer paper which prevents blur, has stable transfer efficiency and provides good pressure fixability.
