Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a key input unit which relieves fatigue of an arm and finger and causes a little malfunction by providing a rest for a palm on a keyboard surface and then by radically arranging keys centering on this rest.

On the board surface, input keys are arranged where fingers come in contact when the palm of the operator is placed on palm rest 2. Then, keys are arranged radically corresponding to respective fingers, and consequently natural finger operation can be done with special finger-operation training, so that the probability of malfunction can be reduced greatly.
