Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the failure of photographing in water by holding AS and self- timer at the specified values with the value of ASA being lower by one step, when the switch of a water-pressure-sensing means goes ON.
CONSTITUTION: A water-pressure-sensing element 20 is provided with an opening 71 provided to the body, a plate 72 composed of elastic material such as rubber secured between the opening ends and a self-switch 74 which turns a contact piece 73 ON when the plate 72 is pushed inward. If arrangement has beforehand been so made that when this switch goes ON the memory of the self and ASA in IC is maintained even if a self-button 14 and ASA buttons 15, 16 go ON, then the ASA does not change even when the buttons 15, 16 are pushed under water pressure. If the action to beforehand lower the ASA of GN calculation by one step is provided in combination with this, then the one-step lower GN value may be automatically maintained even when put into water. In this way, the failure of photographing may be prevented.
