Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a simple and inexpensive high-precision color display unit by displaying an analog three-primary-color picture by converting a digitized signal into color display codes by an infrared-ray video unit.
CONSTITUTION: Six-bit black-and-white digital signal, expressing a temperature, outputted by digitizing infrared-ray video unit 10 is supplied as address data to code converter circuit 11 to attain access to ROM. Since ROM is stored with color code data corresponding to temperature gradation by colors R, G and B, circuit 11 distributes color code data corresponding to address data into three primary colors of R:G:B and then supplies them to R, G and B-color D/A converter circuits 121, 122 and 123. In this way, color signals converted into analog signals by converters 121∼123 are supplied to matcher circuits 121'∼123' respectively for impedance conversion before being sent out as R, G and B signals of color TV5. In addition, the synchronizing signal of unit 10 is also sent out to color TV5 via matcher circuit 10'.
