Abstract

PURPOSE: To minimize irregularity in the density of letters printed by an electrostatic recording printer being caused by variations in paper feed rate, by memorizing the feed rate of paper with which data are output from a computer, and feeding paper at the memorized feed rate after the output of data from the computer has been finished.
CONSTITUTION: That portion of paper which is between a charging section and a developing section when output of data has been finished and which carries an image in a latent state necessarily has printed letters of irregular density, if the mentioned portion of paper is fed at a feed rate different from the feed rate at which the data were input. To prevent this from occurring, the number of requests for feeding paper made in a predetermined period of time, or the lenght of time during which a predetermined number of requests for feeding paper are made is checked to obtain paper feed rates, and the latest paper feed rate is memorized in a paper feed rate memory circuit 8. When a request for feeding paper is made, a feed rate control circuit 9 employs the mentioned paper feed rate and outputs a signal representative of a paper feed rate substantially equal to the above paper feed rate into a paper drive section through an OR circuit.
