Abstract
PURPOSE: To replace and mount the captioned tires economically in a short time by tentatively fixing tire split pieces in ring form, forming back grooves to the faying portions of the respective pieces, separating these and fitting and tentatively fixing to the outside circumference of the kiln forming front grooves and welding after welding of back grooves.
CONSTITUTION: Two split pieces 2, 2 of the support tire made of steel of the required thickness and width of an inside diameter slightly larger than the outside diameter of a rotary kiln 1 are formed. First, the both pieces are fastened by the holed protruding pieces 3, 3 of the side faces of the both ends of the both pieces to form a ring-form support tire 4. Back grooves 5, 5 are formed in the back faying portions thereof. Next, the ring 4 is parted and the both pieces 2, 2 are placed along the required outside circumference of the kiln 1 and are again tentatively fixed to the ring form. U-form strong backs 6, 6 are welded to the faying portions and the protruding pieces 3 are cut off, after which the tire 4 is turned to dispose the grooves 5, 5 vertically. The lower groove is then turned up side down after welding 7 and the other groove is welded. Next, the faying portions are made level and the front grooves 8, 8 are formed, after which these are welded and the backs 6 are cut off.
