Abstract

PURPOSE:To form a liquid well in the contact part between the photoreceptor and transfer sheet and obtain good transfer images by interrupting squeeze action on the preceding part while the preceding part of the effective image portions of the photoreceptor and the effective image portions are being wet developed. CONSTITUTION:At the time of wet developing the electrostatic latent images formed on a photosensitive belt 1 in a developing device 13a at the first cycle of a developing part 13, the device is operated from about 50mm of the effective image portions and the preceding part and effective image portions are developed and held put in a wet state.
