Abstract

PURPOSE:To make setting of screw-down position faster and improve its setting accuracy by providing such a control mechanism by which the automatic screw- down position becomes the preset screw-down position in consideration for the delay of the hydraulic screw-down system. CONSTITUTION:As automatic screw-down position setting starts, a screw-down position reference value changes in taper form toward the screw-down position set value and with a slight delay the screw-down position feedback value follows up this in taper form. At the time when the screw-down position set value deviation enters a zero error range, the output of a screw-down position integrator 9 is preset at the set value itself so that the reference value and set value become equal. Hence, even if the static control loop actuates upon completion of zero error, the screw- down position feedback value operates so as to coincide with the set value, thus the correct screw-down position setting is obtainable.
