Abstract
PURPOSE: To impregnate a porous material free of oil with an oil, economically, in high productivity, by conducting the running-in of the mechanism containing the material as a sliding member while feeding the oil to the material.
CONSTITUTION: A sliding member such as a bearing, etc. made of a porous material such as sintered metal and (almost) free of oil, is impregnated with a lubrication oil by conducting the running-in while feeding the oil to the sliding part. The porous material and the pores in the material are expanded by the heat generated by friction, and the permeation of the oil into the material is facilitated.
