Abstract
PURPOSE: To facilitate adjustment of a prescribed positional relation of multitrack heads by using a standard tape where the first frequency signals are recorded in two sets of track positions and the second frequency signals are recorded in the middle between them.
CONSTITUTION: Signals of frequency 8kHz, etc., are recorded on the first and the second track loci 14a and 14b of a standard tape, and the second signals of frequency 500Hz, etc., are superposed on signals of frequency 8kHz or are recorded singly on intermediate locus 15 of locuses 14a and 14b. These recording are reproduced by heads 4 and 5 and are added by adder 18 and are applied to not only meter 20 through BPF 19 of a band frequency of 500Hz, etc., but also meter 22 through BPF 21 of a band frequency of 8kHz, etc., and height positions of heads 4 and 5 are so adjusted that indication values of meters 20 and 21 may be minimum and maximum respectively, thus facilitating adjustment of a prescribed positional relation of many heads. Further, gap inclination adjustment of heads 4 and 5 is performed simultaneously from a Lissajous' waveform by applying the reproducing output of heads 4 and 5 to oscilloscope 23.
