Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain fixed cyclodextrin with excellent inclusion compound forming capacity and mechanical property by reacting a specific porous bridged copolymer and cyclodextrin.
CONSTITUTION: A glycidyl ester of monofunctional unsaturated carboxylic acid and a polyfunctional monomer (a cross-linking agent) are copolymerized in the presence of porosity imparting agent to obtain porous cross-linked copolymer of which the specific surface area is above 1m2/g having a partial structure designated in the formula (R is alkyl group) and thereafter this porous cross-linked copolymer is dispersed in an aqueous medium dissolving cyclodextrin and the pH is rendered to alkaline by adding NaOH, KOH or the like, subsequently reacted at about 40W 90°C for 3W4hrs to obtain fixed cyclodextrin having a bound structure by forming ether bond between the hydroxyl group of cyclodextrin and the terminal carbon atom of glycidyl group.
