Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the dimensional marking of stairs with desired height of stairs and depth of tread properly by means of a tool which is made of thin plate with a graduation and can be adjusted simply and quickly according to the gradient of stairs to be built.
CONSTITUTION: The vertical element a has a circular disc 2 at the inside corner of the lower part of the lean and long side 1, and has a slit 3 and a graduation 7 at its center upper part, while being equipped with arc-shaped slits 5, 6 being pivoted around the pin 4 fixing the horizontal element b at the same time. The horizontal element b, having a slit 12 along the center of the lean and long side 11 is pivotally joined to the vertical element a by the pin 4, while being pivotally fixed with the slits 5, 6 of the vertical element a, with graduation 19 engraved alongside, and has bolt-nuts 17, 18 to couple slit of the oblique element c. The oblique element c, moreover, has also slit at the end tip which intersects with the vertical member a, and the two elements are connected with each other by the bolt-nuts 9, 10.
