Abstract

PURPOSE: To decompose ozone rapidly at a room temperature by a mechanism wherein a molded filler materials are layered and covered by manganese dioxide to form a filler layer and an ozone which contains exhaust gas is passed through the said filler layer.
CONSTITUTION: The molded filler material such as Raschig ring. Lessing ring or the like is coated by manganese dioxide and layered to form a filler layer. The ozone containing exhaust gas generated at city water and sewage treatment, chemical industries or the like is passed through the filler layer at a room temperature to decompose the ozone rapidly and convert to oxygen. Thereby, the exhausted ozone is treated economically and efficiently.
