Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the color photosensitive material of less coating amounts of silver halide and coupler and superior color image sharpness by combining DIR compound and the specific cyan coupler in the same emulsion layer.
CONSTITUTION: The cyan coupler (a) expressed by general formula I (n is 8W20; X is H, Cl), such as of formula II, and a DIR compound (e.g., formula III) (b) are compounded in the same emulsion layer. The addition amount of the coupler (a) is preferably about 0.005W0.5mole per mole of silver halide and the addition amount of the DIR compound (b) about 0.001W0.5mole per mole of the coupler (a).
