Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the clamping effect doubling that in the prior art with one positive/reverse operation by arranging a stationary fly-wheel directly connected to the main shaft and a sliding fly-wheel connected to the said fly-wheel with a proper play in-between.
CONSTITUTION: A proper number of holes 12, 12'... are made on an arm 8 of a stationary fly-wheel including a boss 7 and a rim 9 fixed to the main shaft and elastic members 13, 13'... are mounted on the inner surface of the holes. Rings 14 and 15 adapted to freely slide with both the top and bottom surfaces of the arm 8 are fitted into stepped pins 18, 18'... previously inserted into the respective holes 12, 12'... and secured with double nuts 20 and 20'. Thus a sliding fly-wheel is formed. When squeezing is made with a screw press or the like, as initial squeezing is performed by a rotary energy retained by the stationary fly-wheel 5 and then, an extra clamping is effected by addition of a rotary force to the fly-wheel 5 utilizing the movement of the rings 14 and 15 which has lost the centrifugal force with the vanishment of the rotary force.
