Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an electronic watch readily fabricated with high accuracy and stability without increasing electric power consumption without using an oscillation requlating trimmer capacitor by forming a time signal via a variable frequency divider in the watch using a piezo-electric vibrator for higher than 2kHz.
CONSTITUTION: Higher oscillating frequency output than 2kHz is generated from an oscillator 1 using no trimmer capacitor formed by a preferable temperature characteristic AT cut thickness slide crystal oscillator piezo-electric element 3 even with resonant frequency irreqularity. This output is processed without gate at relatively higher frequency controlled by a ROM 8 and a coincidence discriminator 9 stored with standard frequency and applied to a variable frequency divider 7 having low power consumption. Thus, the divider 7 produces a time signal of one second signal in high stability and accuracy. With this configuration, it can readily fabricate a watch having low power consumption with high stability and accuracy.
