Abstract
PURPOSE: To increase the detection accuracy of resolver, by using step signal for the exciting signal of position detector.
CONSTITUTION: The output of the clock generation circuit 11 resets the counter 12, phase angle is detected with the gates 13, 14, 17 and 18 from the count output, the drivers 16, 20 are switched to drive the fixed winding 21 of the resolver. The signal for excitation is fed to the two sets of stators of inductsin for the position detection of rotor, then this exciting signal does not contain the third harmonics, thus the accuracy of detection can be increased without using a filter.
