Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve stability and a response speed by increasing resonant frequencies of individual stages other than the final stage higher than the resonant frequency of the final stage and by providing a feedback control means having a low (high) gains at a frequency sufficiently higher (lower) than that of the final stage.
CONSTITUTION: DC-DC converters 1 and 2 of individual stages which have resonant frequencies ω1 and ω2 based on individual Ls and Cs are connected in series, and individual converters 1 and 2 share a switching element Q and its driver D. The output from the final stage 2 is fed back to the driver D by way of a feedback circuit. The resonant frequency ω1 of the converter 1 other than the final stage 2 is determined so that it is sufficiently higher than the resonant frequency ω2 of the final stage 1. Furthermore, in the feedback circuit, C1, C2, and R2 are so determined that a low gain which rolls off at a frequency sufficiently higher than ω2 and a high gain which rolls off at a frequency sufficiently lower than ω2 are obtained.
