Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an end-face combusted type grain for gas producing agent, in which metal wire extended in main gas producing agent is covered by an insensitive gas producing agent, whereby it is enabled to keep amount of gas produced by the main gas producing agent constant and to select composition of the main gas producing agent as desired.
CONSTITUTION: Metal wire 25 covered by insensitive gas producing agent 31 is extended in main gas producing agent 23 along the axis of propellant grain 20. Restrictor 24 is applied over the outer peripheral surface of the front end face of the grain 20, so that its rear end face serves as initial combusting surface 26. This main gas producing agent 23 can be of a desired composition selected to suit the object of use of the rocket motor, whereas composition of the insensitive gas producing agent 31 is selected on the basis of a desired combustion temperature and condition of atmosphere produced by the main gas producing agent 23 whose composition is selected in the above-described manner.
