Abstract

PURPOSE: To always dispose the position of the cutting edge of a clamped cutting tip constantly at every tip replacing time by forming the three side surfaces of a plate member forming the cutting edge at the respective corner angles thereof in a regular triangular shape as a whole.
CONSTITUTION: This clamped cutting tip 1 possesses a corner angle portion 2 which is formed in a regular triangular shape by the side surfaces 3, 4 and 5 thereof, and mounts a wedge-like cross section retainer 15 thereat to thereby be connected thereto by clamping a bolt 16 at a shank 6 body. The shank 6 incorporates a recess 7 for containing the tip 1 and limiting surfaces 11 and 12 for restricting the tip 1 in close contact with both side surfaces 3 and 4 of the tip 1 at 60°. The above three surfaces 3, 4 and 5 are restricted by the surfaces 11 and 12 to thereby always clamp the cutting edge constantly at its position.
