Abstract
PURPOSE: To mothproof composition that is mainly composed of a product made by solidifying a molten mixture of a substance that is solid at room temperature and a volatile mothproofing agent by cooling, thus showing the gradual volatilization of the mothproof agent and constant mothproof performance for a long time without being packed with, e.g., cellophane.
CONSTITUTION: A substance that is solid at room temperature, such as solid paraffin, urea, stearic acid, etc., and a volatile mothproof agent, such as p-dichlorobenzene, comphor, naphthalene, etc., are melted at a temperature over 40°C, solidified by cooling and the product is used as the main ingredient for the mothproof composition. The solid substance slows down the valatilization of the mothproof agent and the composition can show constant mothproof performance for a long time without being packed.
