PURPOSE: To obtain the sound-absorbing material which does not produce the discontinuous part for the inner acoustic impedance to the wavelength of the carrier ultrasonic wave by connecting the plural materials of different acoustic characteristics, i.e., the plural materials featuring a large absorption coefficient and the plural materials featuring a high matching properties to the water in such a way as to secure the discontinuous acoustic characteristics.
CONSTITUTION: A junction is secured through the fusion to the surfaces of component 4 composed of material A featuring the acoustic impednace of virtually equal value of that of the water and component 5 composed of material B featuring a large absorption coefficient. The both components 4 and 5 are connected in a considerably small value at junction part C in comparison with the wavelength of the ultrasonic wave, and as a result the acoustic impedance features virtaully the discontinuous variation. Accordingly, the noise disturbing the measurement is never produced.
